What do we actually do at the Drum Circle?
Join the groove! Listen to the rhythm, feel the beat ... and play! 'Freestyle' drumming and percussion is a great way to express yourself and to inspire your creativity, and to simply have fun, playing for the sheer joy of it. (And if you think you have 'no rhythm' then know that you have - you just need to reconnect with it.)
We explore the therapeutic use of rhythm in a meditative/mindful style, to help relieve stress and tension, to combat the feeling of 'mental warfare' and sense of disconnection that we all experience at times with our fast paced lifestyles which often seem lacking in many areas, and overwhelming in others.
We learn some specific 'ensemble' arrangements (including traditional african rhythms) to play together working as a supportive group, giving us the satisfaction of putting a drumming piece together which sounds pretty good!
Teas and coffee are available for you.
£5 per session
no commitment - just pay for the ones that you attend
